골프 대회에 참가한 남가주 고려대·연세대·와세다대·게이오 대학 동문들이 기념 촬영을 하고 있다.

지난 10일 패서디나에 있는 브룩사이드 골프클럽에서 남가주 고려대·연세대·와세다대·게이오 대학 등 한일 4대학연맹(AFUA) 친선 골프대회가 열렸다.

각 대학에서 12명씩 총 48명의 선수가 참가한 이 번 대회에선 선수 합계 422타를 친 연세대 동문회가 첫 대회 우승을 차지했다.

지난 해 11월 한일 4개 대학 동문이 모여 아시안 커뮤니티의 화합과 발전을 목적으로 만들어진 AFUA는 앞으로 다양한 사회 봉사 활동 및 문화 교류를 통해 커뮤니티 간의 이해와 화합을 통한 발전 방안을 모색한다.

한편 제 2회 골프대회는 2009년도 하반기 간사를 맡게될 고려대학교 주관으로 올 가을 열리게 된다.
